People want respect as a compensation for their white hair! But growing one’s hair white doesn’t guarantee respect and it doesn’t make one eligible automatically. Growing physically doesn’t mean that one has actually grown ‘up’!

Respect needs to be earned hard. One needs to allow the other person a place higher than him. He needs to respect other’s being, his individuality, his life, his presence on this planet! It’s not like I sit on his head and then whisper in his ears ‘please respect me’!

But the ego doesn’t let it happen!

One might get lip service, someone might touch his feet as a favour, but he can’t get a heartfelt gesture of respect that he craves for!
