I Want to Become a Child Once More
I want to become a child once more
I want to play with my toothbrush once more
I want to grow up once again
I want to play with plastic toy train.
I want to live like a child
I don’t want to remain in this jungle wild
Allow me one more chance to grow
I still enjoy the story of pigeon and crow.
I want to play hide and seek
I want to ride bicycle on street
I want to make models of clay
I want all my friends with me to play.
I want to go to school
I want to hear the music of school bell
I want to savor the ice cream
I want to be seen laughing in dream.
I don’t want to decide which car to buy
I enjoy choosing which kite to fly
I love using my fingers to fiddle with a revolving top
I hate using them beating the keys of my office laptop.
I am fed up of repaying my old loan
My ears start aching after a day of talking on phone
I am scared of manic mondays
I want in my life some picnics and fun days.
I won’t mind studying hard
I won’t mind bearing the burden of report card
I won’t mind carrying truckload of books on my shoulder
I won’t mind getting scolded by teacher.
Please take me out of this dragon mouth
I don’t want to be a part of this unending joust
Take my car, take my bungalow
God, give me just one more chance to grow
just one more chance to grow.
